400ex starter cluch problem? please help?

ok ive got two 400ex's one for racing one for trail riding. the racer's starter clutch went out completely (wouldn't grab) and i took the good one out of my trail quad i used the trail quads crankcase cover and star to keep it with it and everything was fine. the problem is when i got the rebuilt one back from a certified honda dealer we put it in and put everything back to gether and when i go to start iti sounds like when the engine fires the starter isint disengageing so when it fires the it turns the starter motor. any advice. only thing i think i could do is take it off and take it back to the dealer and see what they can find. thanx for any help!
