Ltr strang noise

My cousin has a 2007 ltr450 and it starts fine but makes a whining noise when you give it gas in neutral or in gear. The noise sounds either like the cam chain or clutch but i cant tell. It also has a motoworks full system and there sounds like a ticking noise coming from where the exhaust meets the head. Any help please.

did you put a crush gasket on the head when you got the pipe?

As far as i know no he did not. He had a full yosh system and I can imagine he took the old one off and put the new header on with out the gasket. i know he has since bent the flange trying to get it from leaking

ide check the gasket, i got a new dasa and put it on without a gasket it made a ticking sound from leak.
