is ther a certain torque they have to be turned to ?
or just tighten them snug?

You just tighten (snug) them in a criss-cross pattern.

yea just snug.....

I know yamaha is 5.2 or 7.8, not sure, but im sure suzuki has a torque spec also, "just snug" doesnt mean anything, but its your motor not mine...

ugh now im scared i havent put the cover back on yet cause i have the quad still torn apart. ( replacing valves) but i cant find anything that tells me the torque spec and im thinking snug is a hit or miss because snug to me can be difrent to someone else.

The bolts bottom out against the posts that they screw into. Snug means when they are bottomed and wont back out.

Yeppers ^^^
And Outcast, in the manual it says to "tighten", which was what I said. I did then add in parenthesis snug... Once they are snug, they are tightened. Didn't want him using a half inch drive ratchet and really cranking on them!
I do prefer torque specs though when working on engine parts..
