Guys

What needles are you running when putting a 28mm PWK onto a proshark, basically stock engine, just want more breathing.....

thanks

I always just use the needle that comes in the carb

Yeah but what pilot jet and main jet do you use? I'd like to know also.

that is going to vary alot based on numerous things. What motor work you have, your altitude, temp, pipe and so on. For my setup a 142 main and a 45 pilot is a good baseline.

What is the clip on the needle set at? I have a 148 main and a 55 pilot and the clip all the way down. It takes off ok and bogs in the mid and runs really good in the top end. I'm gonna get some more main jets. I'm thinking 135 thru 145. What do you guys think? Oh and i'm at 300 feet elevation.

you are too rich in the middle, move the clip to middle position on the needle and drop the pilot jet to about a 45 or 48. If it is running fine on top leave the main jet alone.

Thanks i'll try that.
