Never powdercoated anything before, I have a friend that will do it for me at work but I have to provide the powder myself.

From what I understand I need about 2 lbs. of powder to do my frame. I plan on doing a pearlescent white, but I want a metallic flake to make it glittery/sparkly. They sell the additives by the ounce.

How many ounces of flake do I need or would be suggested per pound of powder to make it look good?

Check out www.columbiacoatings.com

You can buy pre mixed clear from them

2 pounds is alot depending on the applicator, the person coating teh frame should be able to tell you almost exactly what he wants as far as quantity.

One thought however, the pearl powders, especially white, will loose the effect once clear coated, especially on a atv frame. If its not cleared it will not hold up, its not uv resistant nor chemical resistant
