2003 predator 500 woodruf key replacement

went to set timing cams were 180 off reset them to specs and bump started ran but blowing white smoke cheked valves and timing was back off 180 think its the woodruff key any help on replacing key or suggestions?

probably got it fixed already but it could be that. Are you sure youre checking them correctly though. If the key did snap and you were on the key vegas odds say it would never end up exactly 180 out. I wrote a how to on Polarisriders.com. I would go to a 400ex ket because the polaris one is tiny and expensive
