MY 07 ltr is having overheating problems Here are the things i have done to try and fix them. Changed head gasket Changed water pump seals put in engine ice changed temp sensor changed termostat nothing seems to have worked Fan kicks on when its supposed to. Radiator is clean as a whistle is it possible the light is bad and its not overheating. I race xc and ten minutes in till the end of the race the light blinks WTF someone please help me before i go to the loonly bin

does the bike feel hotter than normal when your riding it. like before the light start coming on? does it feel the same as before or when your riding can you feel your legs getting hotter? id the bike running fine? try putting a inline cooler in and see if that helps

Ya it seems to be running too hot when i turn it off the fan stays running forever before the light goes off. But im not losing any fluid

o ya an it runs fine got the head decked out and run C12 race gas and check the valves every 10 hours

Just ordered an in line see if that works at this point ill try anything ill try putting it on while doing a head stand

when you got the head and everything done did you get a PIM or a PC111 ansd change the map

sorry but not to high jack the threrad but your fans stay on after ur ltr is off but the key is still on???

ya stays on till the overheat light goes off and a little after that it shuts down

o because mine has never stayed on after the quad has shut off. the fan will be on then if i pop the cluch to stall it the fan shuts off with the motor never stays on after the motor is off.

The 06-07 model the fan will continue to run until the temp down.

The 08-09 model the fan will stop after you kill the motor.Mine do the same thing.

im sorry about hijacking thread...

by the way i think the make something that say what tempeture your engine is running maybe your light or something else is wrong and you temp is fine. cause my was blinking after i flipped my quad obce and wouldnt start till i shut off the key and turned it back on.

u might have to get a different stock radiator. iv heard with yamahas that in a certain production period that the filment in the radiator was not letting them cool down. so id get a different radiator

thats beacuase ltr's have a roll over relay. you have to turn the key off then back on for it to start.
