i just bought a 2000 yamaha yz 250 2 stroke dirt bike this thing runs amazing. the problem is that sometimes the throtle sticks wide open (make u s**t your self) any way i am a mechanic and rebuilt many engines and carbs u name it i did. 2 and 4 stroke. i put new throtle cable on it new jets cleaned it very well new hand grips new twist throtle new wheel in the hand piece. there are no burs on the slide in the carb.and the throttle it very smooth. the spring is also new. i dont know what else to look for and it only happens once or twice all day (8hrs riding). someone please help im gona get killed.

i lubed my slide up... sprayed it and it stopped sticking but it would only stick every once in a while...

so after you sprayed the slide did it ever stick again?

when you out grip glue on for the grips you could have got it on the throttle making it stick sometimes
