hey i got a 2008 yfz450 i live in Destrehan LA about 20 mins from New Orleans does anybody know how i should set my jet i have a hmf iron man to if that matters thanks

I would try 170 main, 45 or 48 pilot, 3rd clip on the ncvq needle and 2 turns on the a/f screw. The '08 doesn't have a adjustable needle so I would suggest getting the ncvq needle. There only about 15 bucks. Also the a/f screw is located in the bowl, you have to take the bowl off to adjust it. Most people buy a aftermarket one so it's easier to adjust. I have the r&d flexjet fuel screw. It attaches to the side of the carb and is really easy to adjust. It's about 35 bucks. Try those jets and let us know how it works out for ya.

i have the fmf power up jet kit

In my opinion jet kits are a waste. You only use one jet and the needle if it came with one and the rest you will never use. Jets are only about 4 bucks a piece and is cheaper than a jet kit. Jet kits use different numbers then if you were to get keihin jets so it's gonna be hard to tell you which ones to use. did the jet kit come with a needle.

yea it came with the needle but i also got the kit b/c i take trips to different places so i might have to change it when i go somewhere but how do i put the needle in

You shouldn't really need to rejet unless your elevation change is real drastic. I ride from sea level to about 2000 feet and my jetting is fine. Here is a link that tells you how to change the needle.

No, I haven't found a video. Check out that forum though there is a ton of info for the yfz. It's the best one in my opinion.
