Basically what it says. I had a buddy bring me his KFX450 to work on. He said he rolled it out of the barn and let it idle while he was closing the doors up. he said he heard it die and now it wont run. he brought it to me and told me to check it. Im gonna check all the basics first but does anyone have any ideas to look for first. The fuel pump is running i can hear that but thats all ill know until tomorrow??

What is it doing now?

Does it turn over and just not fire off?

Or does it not turn over at all?

its turning over and sounds fine to me. Its blowing compression out the exhaust so the valves and all that are opening. My first thing im going to check for is fire and fuel but if its not gettin fuel then i will be stumped. Im an old carburated guy lol

Lift the hood off.

Check the vehicle down sensor.
Sometimes it triggers and shuts the machine off.

Could have fell off the mount or whatever.

It's a squared black thing, and I think it has "UP" on it.

Check it and cycle the key on-off a few times.

If that is not it, check the fuses under there.

Then move on to the spark plug.
I'd say it's getting fuel if the pump is priming.

Like above, its more than likely the Roll Over Sensor. If so, ZIP TIE er' down!

its deffinitly the role over sensor ive had the same problems!!!
to tell you the truth if you let it sit for a good 2 weeks itll fire right up i have no idea why there like that but if it happens while riding and it wont start let it cool down completly and itle start back up

like i said i dont know why but thats just how they are

Yeah my friend shot up a creek bank and put his on the grab bar.
it wouldn't start till it cooled off, meanwhile we located the sensor and it was out of it's holder. Been hearing alot of problems regarding this. When is someone going to come up with a delete mod?
