0 problems so far , got it last nov. heard of problems with battery cables breaking at the battery- soldered a chunck of heavy wite on top of flat battery lead end, and heat shrinked, also wires rubbing through on rear ecu cover, tied up better and taped the **** out of wiring to prevent this, steering a little funky up front for hard xc racing, but houser has a fix for that(caster issue). other than that , have been VERY happy with mine, and came off 05' honda450, 06'Honda450er, and 08' KTM 525xc, blows them all away in my opinion.

I have had mine for over 9 months now - I love it - it's the best quad I think I have ever owned.....and that's saying a lot since I loved my old YFZ!!
I have had no issues with mine and I still race it pretty much stock!

I have had mine since January. I love this quad, but we have ran into a problem with the rear axle. Bent both sides are more than .5 of an inch over yamahas spec of .006 mesured 6in from the sprocket and 6in from rotor. .5 an .6 is what we have. I have not heard of any one else with this problem. Althoe I have heard the factory guys have broken there stock axles. Sucks is we have two older yfz 06', and 07' that spent the same time running the same practices as yfzr did and the R came out tore up and the older yfz with only engine and intake mods stock suspention and axles no problems. So I see it as maybe a problem to look out for.
