will start posting pics very soon.

Woo cant wait to see this ...but I can already tell its going to make me wish I didn't sell mine lol. Anyway make sure to post tons of pics as there aren't many z400 hybrids out there and probably none with a ktm motor! Nahum is always checking out any z400 hybrid info, he will definitely be interested also

i put the motor in the frame looks good from what i can see tomorrow i will move and we weld the mounts.

Posted by: Brad77

Wow look at the room that frame has available.
Good to see you building another quad man. I still have my KTM hybrid. Did you sell your Suzuki?

Posted by: nightmare311

ya i sold the ltr to slow and heavy.. ya i agree theres tons of room in the frame... im gonna pm you my number its good to hear you still have your hybrid.

1. Will the engine fit in the swingarm?
2. Will the swingarmbolt fit or is it to thick/to thin?
3. How will you solve the carb problem? I think the carb will hit the upper mount of the rear shock ...

Posted by: nightmare311

i think this one will have to be done like a 250r with a custom made mount to make it fit the swing arm
and the rear shock will be changed to the one thats in the pic not bolted on.

Posted by: nightmare311

ok got things tacked in. the only thing left to do is the exhuast i eather have to mod the pipe and the sub frame or just the sub frame. i also have to finsh weld everything and gussting the frame

sick now that you have the power you need to get some suspension

Posted by: nightmare311

i have a set of pep's front and rear.

@nightmare

Hey, come on ... we would like to see more detailed photos without the plastics. For example the sections I mentioned above (carb problem, upper engine mounts and so on).

Does the kicker clear the frame or do you need an extension?

Posted by: nightmare311

ok i can do that...

Posted by: nightmare311

theres lots of room behind the carb.

i dont know if you can see very well what i did at the swing arm. when i pull everything to finsh welding i will take another pic.

Posted by: Nahum

Very fast photo reply! Thank you!
So the swingarm and the swingarm bolt didn´t fit the rear engine mount. You put a selfmade braket between the swingarm bolt and the rear engine mount. Am I right?

Posted by: nightmare311

you are correct.

Posted by: nightmare311

so what gearing does everything i should use? its a mx bike so.. it will have 18" rear tires i was thinking 14/38 like the new ktm 505sx atvs as a starting place.

Posted by: nightmare311
