I have a 03 Kodiak 400 for sale as is. I recently bought it from an individual and i had it for a few days. It started to smoke so i shut it down and did a complete oil change on it. After i changed the oil I fired it up and took it around the house to see if that would help. The smoking got a little worse. I took it to a shop and the did a leakdown test and the compression was 180 with leakage around 25%. They tore down the topend and found alot of wear. They quoted me a price of $1800 to fix the topend. I only paid $2000 for the bike and didnt want to put that much into it. If anyone knows if that price sounds right let me know. Or if anyone is interested in buying it as is, I will let it go pretty cheap. I dont have the knowledge of bikes.
