Ok i have decided to put a new and bigger motor in but i want to do it right the fist time! Im thinking at least a 140 to 160 motor wich is the best? Lifan 150 or 140...g2150 or a xy160?
I would like to hear some opinions on this and who has the best prices along with service.
Thanks!

I've had a built YX140 with the works and now have a Lifan 150 that was stock til this rebuild. The YX was a nice performing motor but I had an issue with the kicker bearing going out and it cracked the left side case. If you go with any YX motor make sure it's the one with the updated cases and kicker bearing. As for performance... The YX140 doesn't hold a candle built to the Lifan 150 stock. My son had never won a race outright until he raced with the Lifan and he won 3 out of the 4. The race he lost the pipe came apart and he stopped and pulled off the track. I waived him on, he re-entered the track in dead last and caught everyone except for 2 older kids. I have recently added a hc piston and ported the head. Will see how she performs when I get the bike back together next week. The YX150 and 160 motors have more options as far as bigbore setups because of the wristpen sizes. Parts are easier to find as well. Either motor you go with I don't think you can go wrong. Just a matter of what you want and can get price wise. Try Terry at www.firepowerminnis.com (He builds motors and tell you alot of info) Or Vince at www.tboltusa.com he can many get different motors but doesn't really work on motors. Either guy is good to go with.

Heard those 155 motors were supposed to be nice. But I haven't actually seen one in action. They must have recently started running the 155 in the Pitster quad because the GPX150 and 125 were the two original motor in the bike.

I think you'll be really suprised at how much power this motor is going to have out to the box. Pulls really strong from bottom all the way to the top. If you're looking at modding the motor there's no need to change the cam as it's one of the biggest in the bike that you can get stock. I'll let you know how Jam's bike performs with the ported head and hc piston later this week when I get everything put back together.

def.. let me know how he dose! My son has a eton 90 i biult and it really fast....Ill be super happy if this motor stays close to the 90.
heres his 90...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dvndGPz5OM

This motor will outrun the eton 90 with no problem. Based on what I see in your vid it won't even be close. Jam races against DRR's that are ported and just under 100cc's and he pulls them off the line with no problem. It seems the Eton rides well down the hill but struggles pretty bad coming up the hill. The Lifan will outperform it all around. There's a race this weekend coming so I'll see if I can get some footage if I can get the bike back together and don't run into any issues. Until then, here's a vid of Jam testing the motor when I had just installed it. Still hadn't dialed his jetting in on this vid and he's riding the whole vid in 3rd gear (Alot more topend speed left and the motor has enough umph to power out of corners in higher gears). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QccZ5nF127Y
