I just got off the phone with a buddy at a dealer and he said I need a new crank. Anyone have a crank they want to sell? Roger

I'll see if I have that side of a crank that's good. I have a new hot rods, rod kit here.
For what it's worth, I've got motors in that ppl messed the original threads up. They used a regular thread die on the crank.
It seemed to work fine.

My neighbor just dropped off a die kit and I'm going to try it tonight. The keyway is broke on the starter gear, how hard do the usually come off?

The keyway is prolly more peened over as opposed to broke.
File the keyway/starter gear part to get the lip off. Pulling the starter gear may be difficult.
You prolly can just turn the key around after filing it down and making it look pretty again.

You will prolly need a new roller plate seeins the keyway was messed up.
