Mud guard? Explain more about the part you're calling a mud guard.

that is just what the manual calls it. it is down by your foot against the back plastics

That would be a heel guard. Don't believe they will fit a 300ex.

I am installing ims 400ex heelguards on my 300ex with 300ex ims pegs. (discontinued) I think. I would thinkg with some mods to the stock pegs that the 400ex guards would still work with some modifications.
