we have an 08 a/c drr50 and it doesnt seem to have the pull that it use to. I was wondering if the clutch is worn or if it could be something else. i changed the roller weights to 4.5 i think when it was new trying to get a lil more snap out of it..... any help would be great. he is starting to race and would like to go in that directionjust dont know much about these clutches....

Original weights were 3.5 rollers. If it is stock 50 you need 3.5.

What's the compression at?

a Stock 50 motor needs to be around 3.5

i have the stock weights.... it is stock until next week it is getting the cylinder done and im looking for a 90 pipe so should i stay with the 4.5 or go back to 3.5.... i will know compression after he races next weekend and we tear it down!!!

You are still going to be around 3.5 rollers.

What's the clutch set up? Torsion springs can wear out rather quick.

we put a 90 pipe on our 50 and had to go to 3.25 rollers and we used a ztr1000 spring, after that we started shredding belts and since we don't race mx nat'ls we put a 70 kit on it and it runs great. From my experience that 90 pipe created alot of high end but we lost our low end

We are from Greencastle straight south of ya on 231. His DRR is a 50 that we made into a 70 with many parts from Gary and Marc two class act shops. Right now it's just a stock 70 head and cyl, SMS pipe(never really liked that 90 pipe), Fox shocks, just added some softbars. Do you guys race at Wildcat???? is your 450 xc or mx.... We're gonna be at Wildcat on Sept 12th & 13th for the State race
