Im looking to buy my 85lbs son a good 90cc quad .I really like the looks of the typhoon but have read about frame breakage issues? I just want some input ,thoughts . We mainly trail ride with A little mx track playing no competitive racing for him yet. He wants to gncc race. how much maint. is required .

In the 2yrs we've had the Typhoon I haven't delt with any frame issues and my son mainly MX's his bike. The main problem to look out for is the crank snapping on the stock motor. Even with that, you can slap one of those Chinese manual's in for around $400-$500 dollars and you're good.

It varies from what I've been reading. Ours lasted a year and a half before it let go. Others only a couple of months. There are dealers that sell drop in motors for these bikes that are far better than the stock Xtreme motors. Try tboltusa.com.
