hey i plan on getting a blaster either by next christmas or by summer my mom said shed buy me a quad for $1600 max i want a nice looking quad not rusty or anything what should i look for ?whats the main difference between the new looking blaster and older looking one ?please i need all the help i can get id say my skill level is pretty good i weigh 200lbs and im 5'6" also im 14 so u might have to explain more throughly thank you -tim

Try to find an 03 and up blaster with the hydraulic brakes that is the key difference in them besides the different hood/headlight. They are so much better than the old drum brakes. I've owned a 96 blaster and now have an 04 model. You should have no problem finding one for 1600 or less. Once you start modifying one they are awesome machines..

you sound like a pretty big kid a blaster is pretty small you could get a decent 400ex for about 1600 and that would smoke a blaster

A $1600.00 400ex may not even run, so to say it would smoke a blaster would be stretch. Stock hp on a 400ex and the hp of a slightly modifyed blaster are real close. If you are a big kid (140+) you may want the bigger bike thou
