660 raptor bucking

I am posting this problem for my buddy who rides an 01 raptor 660. In 1st gear it rips like it is suppose to but if ur low on the rpm or high in 2nd and 3rd it bucks like a mad horse. The bucking is quite rapid, as if something is binding up. There is no type of noises when this happens. Thanks for any help u can give him .
