Ok, I am getting frustrated with my daughter's chain popping off. I was told the Apex and DRR's have problems with them doing that. Have any of you had problems? If so, what did you do to correct the problem?

we use the ztr chain tensioner and a chain guide off a banshee. have not lost the chain since. knock on wood

Agree with the ZTR but also make sure the 3 bolts holding the sprocket are tight as well as the axle nuts. You may also want to check your chain to make sure there are no bad ( binding ) links.

We too have experienced the axle nut and sprocket nut backing out even after using thread locker. You should also check your swing arm nut as that is another one that we and our teamates have had back out. We also use the ZTR and luckily we only had one chain mishapdue to sprocket bolts coming loose. Good luck!!!

I will check all those things. qcitytile...do you have a pic of your setup?
I notice that when the back suspension is fully compressed that the chain get a lot of slack in it. How would I fix that?

here is a pic from last year. since then we added a ztr tensioner. one way to fix the chain slack would be to figure out a way to lower rear motor with a bolt on bracket.
