Did you ever have the carbs apart for some reason? It sounds like your slides may be backwards in the carbs. That's what happened to me. I wasn't paying attention to what way they go in, and for WEEKS I was going crazy trying to figure out why it ran like ****. Ends up stupid me had the slides in the carbs backwards.

What are all your settings? Pilot/needle/main?

And are the carbs sync'd?

Posted by: ranger505

the carbs are sync the jets are 270 the needle is set in the middle i really dont know much about them thanks for the reply

With stock air box you should be around 28 on the pilots, middle to one clip lower on the needle, and 270 on the mains should be close....But you could slowly drop the main and see how it runs.

What elevation do you live/ride at?

Posted by: ranger505

the elevation is 4,925 ft (1,501 m)

A 270 main with pipes is a guage for sea level jetting...You will most likely end up with a lower number than that. Did you have the pipes on it when you ran the 230's before the rebuild?

yes it ran like a champ

Well then put them back in lol

Posted by: ranger505

the reason why i went bigger is because it is bogging out and not running good

If it's bogging out then it's too rich. Put the 230's back in, and try taking the air box lid off to lean it out and see if it makes a difference.
