Anyone know if any other recoils besides a Honda recon will fit a honda 250ex? like maybe a rancher or another motor?

Something electrical went on my 250 so i removed all the electrical, wires, batt, starter. and the recon recoils keep breaking because the motor is so hard to pull over. I dont mind pulling it, just looking for a cheaper recoil that would fit.

anyone tried this?

never heard of having a pull starter on a 250ex

well since the recon is the same engine as a 250ex, i have been using a recon recoil. but the plastic pieces inside keep breaking. just wondering if there are any other heavy duty recoils that will fit a honda recon

well it depends, look around at some other honda motors and try some parts from a bigger motor
