And here is what I kinda set out to do, have 2 nearly identical quads. Was it worth it? hmm well at the time maier did not have any plastic worth owning, fullbore was too much $$, as was stock plastic. So my only option was 400ex plastic. I had a freind with a machine shop and he did most of the work for nearly free. I then had it powdercoated. I used the stock R gastank, had to cut the gastank cover some to get it to fit. Overall it came out nicer than I expected. Would I do it again? proably not given the fact that maier has nicer plastic, and all the dumb*****es coming up to me and saying "dude sweet 400ex" or "dude how did you get a 250R motor in a 400ex frame?" It was fun building it though, and as I like to say, "its a wolf in sheeps clothing":devil The people on the track look back at me and say "ahh its just a 400ex" zooom lol

but i like the look of the 250r plastics

Im def gonna sell the EX, and Id sell the R if the price is right. But no one is gonna pay anything for a 16-17 yr old quad even if almost every part has been replaced with new stuff. I need money right now to pay for college and my truck and other stuff, so quads kinda fell a couple notches on my list.

I'm still not sure what fenders to run 400 of 250r?

I would still like to see if I could fit a 400ex tank on the 250 frame.
