i usually stay on the 450r page but i like to see what else honda has out there. i havent seen any 700s around here yet an i was just curious as to how they might stand up to the 450 (both stock) in a drag race...thanx

I have a hi compression piston in my 450 engine but i can say that i can take my buddys 700 till the limiter in 5th then he just pulls by. I dont know what the top speed of the 700 is but its more than a 450 with a 13 tooth front sprocket. The 700 i was racing has an HMF full exhaust, programmer and air box lid removed. I was most surprised by how it gets started. Im launching off the limiter in 2nd and im still behind a quad length by the end of 2nd. I can pull past but him but those 700s get out of the hole fast. Must be all that torque.

I have raced and beat my friends 450r, He has a 07 special edition both rider weight was 180. However he doesnt' take the best care of his bike but it is by no means un healthy. Both bikes my friend has video of it as well, i've beat ltr 450's too, with slip on's and they had paddles and i was stock...
