Suzuki Vinson 500

Hey guys. I didn't post this in the suzuki utility because it didn't say vinson, and I don't think anyone has one in there. I'll get a much better response here.

We're going to be getting a 2006 Vinson 500 that's camo with 150 miles on it.

I'm just curious as to if anyone on here has ever ridden one, or owned one, and how it was? I read the advrider review and a couple others and they sound like excellent quads, just wanted your opinions. This is the semi-auto one.

Well we traded a 2001 Yamaha Wolverine 350 for it. They aren't worth much, and this vinson was a 2006 with only 300 miles on it.. It looked brand new.

It broke a shaft in the trans, and popped a bearing out that holds it also resulting in cracking the case slightly on the right. We were going to have the case welded and we already had the cases split to fix the shaft, until we found a complete running motor for $600 shipped.

So technically, the wolverine was worth 1500, and we traded and paid 600 for the motor. So 2100 for a brand new condition camo Suzuki vinson with 300 miles and a whole extra engine for parts. If the top end ever wears out we have one with only 300 miles on the shelf

We only fired it over for a couple seconds today. Before we run it any further, we're going to flush the engine clean because we don't know the history of it, make sure it's all good and ready then finish bolting the plastics/pegs/etc. on it.

So we didn't ride it yet but I can't wait to

Do you also have a vinson?

No I have a HIGHLY modded 06 kingquad 700 but if I find a cheap vinson Ill jump on it for sure at least for my wife to ride.

Sweet! Post pics

Yeah me and my father are more into sport quads, but he only has a banshee so we can't really go on long trail rides, because they are HORRIBLE on gas. I have my 400ex to trail ride with but he only had the wolverine which was pretty slow and had stiff suspension.

So mainly it's just going to be used for plowing, yard work, and long trail rides. It seems like it would ride nice, the vinson, but we don't know yet until we ride it.

Yea this is my first utility. Sold a mx yfz450 with 10k in it to get it. Its clutch is apart till tomorrow getting more mods done. After this I cant possibly do anything more besides a big bore kit. After you ride that vinson for long trail rides or try mud riding youll be hooked TRUST ME!!!

It's been together for a couple days now. Runs great! We're really happy with it. It's in brand new condition and the thing rides pretty nice. Also gets up and goes for a 500!

Pretty cool machine. Can't wait to go on some long trail rides.. haven't been on one for a while.
