Trying to trail ride my 660 slow, Need some advice?

I need some tuning help on low RPM trail riding my 660. It seems like the thumb throttle is really stiff and impossible to feather lightly. I'm half tempted to switch to a twist throttle.

Any technical advice I would appreciate!

did you check the throttle cable?
