when my engine reaches 4500 rpm it starts to die down but keeps on running.also if i pin the throttle it dies out. i live in the country, if that helps anybody.

Make sure the fuel shut off is fully opened.

2009 sportsman 500ho's dont have a fuel shutoff valve, well at least mine doesent. thanks for the reply

I also have an 09 Sportsman 500ho. The shutoff is located behind the removable panel below the headlight. I'll see if I can get a picture later.

o i saw that under the pod. i thought it was for something else. thanks for telling me that bertmeister. ill go and check that
