I picked up my new ktm yesterday. Rode it around for about an hour in my back yard trying to get used to it. So far I love this thing and I can't wait to race it. I need to get some woods time on it tho. What kind of frame skidplate is everyone running and how do you like it? I'll also be getting new hipers, tires, and more than likely an fmf pipe for it.

Sa-weeet i hope to be getting one maybe next month

I run the Pro Armor frame skid plate on mine in XC racing and it offer's a lot more protection than the stocker!

Rath Racing has a nice full chassis skid and XC bumper.

I've got the Pro Armor also, but I wouldn't recommend it with the KTM brand nerfs because you'll have to modify or cut off the skid's frame guards that bend upon each side of it in order for them to fit right. The PRM is pretty good for the money, definitely cheaper than the KTM skid.

PRM had save my butt several times

what skid fits with the ktm nerfs? mainly looking at primary skid, not a-arms obviously.

PRM, Rath, and the KTM Hardparts skid. I don't know anything about the AC stuff.

Posted by: powertechn2

well, we can minus the ac if no one has experience with them, of the others, which is the best for the price?

does one mount easier that the other??

i planned on buying the ktm oem skid, but not in stock, i dont have my machine yet, but will in about a week or less hopefully, and from looking, i think it needs some underbelly protection.

anyone got pics from under?
