We have a very old i think '88 blaster, it hasen't been ran in 2+ years, the reason for this is, evertime you ride it for around 2 hours, the piston siezes, we have had 4 pistons and i think 6 honings. what can we do? i think the blasters are fun to ride, and this one was always really peppy.
the only sure-fire fix i can think of would be a new complete motor, but i know something is wrong.

Whats your jetting? do you have the crappy oil injection blocked off? The plastic gear that turns the pump is known to fail sooner or later. That means no oil gets mixed with the gas and your screwed.

oil injection is completely taken off, we mix the gas.
not sure on the jetting, but it does have an fmf full system.

You should be around a 270 main jet. Check for air leaks. What over bore size are you on btw?
