i just noticed a slight squeak from my left front shock on my 400ex. Is this anything to worry about????

Relube the bushings, its a fairly common problem. Nothing to worry about.

Just put some thing under the front of the frame and pull the bolts out. Put a dab of grees in the hole and on the bolt then put it back to gether.

Dito,
Take the shocks off and put a dab of grease in the hole were the bolts go (the bushings) and also put a dab of grease on the bolts, then reassemble and it should be quiet.

I've just encountered the same problem on my rancher. I took every movable part off the front end, all the way to the steering stem, lubed abslolutely every thing including the plastic shock cover under the springs and the squeak is still there! Makes' the quad sound like a piece of CRAP!!!

Yeah, my 400ex's front right shock does it too! I spray some WD40 up inside the shocks but that dont work. Mine just does it occasionaly tho. It gets on my nerves...

My a-arms were squeaking too. I tore the front end apart, greased everything, and it continued to make noise. Next time around I torqued every bolt to factory specs and that annoying squeak was gone.
