Gas shocks for utility quads?

Hi Guy's I was considerng looking into a set of gas shocks for my 09 / grizzly 550 and was hoping someone had them already and could steer me in the right direction. Would some nice gas shocks give the atv a smoother ride than it already has? Or would it be kind of a waste of money, I know gas shocks make a hell of a difference on snow machines and sport atv's.
