No mention of a new or revised power plant.....bummer.

They finally give the louver to the public!. Hopefully they won't overprice them for people that have the older models.

but they have heel guard netting and nerf bars!!!
whoo-hoo!
i believe cannondale's moto and blaze were the first production atv's with nerfs, not the brp ds's...

LMAO!
One time a few years back I thought Andy was a girl in a photo until I fully studied the photo and seen that he DEF. was not!
I never assume that now !

I'm liking the new line up! I got me eye on the mx that thing is sick from the factory!

I was at the dealership yesterday looking at the new ds.... it wasn't a mx or anything just the plain ds and man do those a-arms look weak. I see the ones on the mx version are a lot nicer but has anyone had trouble with the aluminum ones on the base model? also the renegade X mx looks sick

Reviving the thread......
So whats the difference between 09 and 2010? I can't see much unless I'm blind help me out? Good time to get 09's cheap just wondering if the 2010 is worth waiting and paying more for? Also anyone heard of a 2010 racer program?

I know this is a long shot, but i was wondering if Can-Am was ever going to produce a sport quad larger than 450 cc? I am not taking about the Renegade either, I mean strictly sport.

like a ds650??????
Posted by: BamBam730
Yes a DS 650.

you do know that they use to make a ds650 right?

cdrookie, I do know that they use to produce a ds650. I own one, just look at my signature line.
What i was trying to get at is they (Can-Am) should produce a sport quad larger than a 450. Thats all.
Posted by: cdrookie
sorry, i block sig lines, didn't know you have one. just the way you worded it made it sound like you wasn't aware.

I wish they still made the DS650X... thats the greatest in my opinion. I have one, so obviously I'm biased...but IT NEVER GIVE ME ANY PROBLEMS, has loads of power EVERYWHERE...mountains or beach, looks mean as hell (and kinda like a sea cow too... lol) If it had reverse it would be the greatest ever...
I am honestly really dissappointed in the DS450. As soon as I heard it was coming out I was stoked...and then I heard about all the problems. Over heating, clutches, hair line cracks... the GNCC and GNC guys cant finish races.... what the hell is that all about???
I still REALLY WANT A DS450X-XC but I don't want to be riding in the mountains on a trail where i cant go really fast, have the bike heat up and fry itself!!! I ride pretty much everything but MX, on a frequent basis and don't want to deal with those issues.
KTM is my second choice, mainly because they don't have all the factory options other than the X-xc... but they cost to damn much.
I guess I wish can-am would go back to old days...

Yeah they look light, but I did not have any issues & have not heard of any issues with the arms but they did change them for 2010. I was very impressed with the plain ds450 ride & how well it handled. Now they are adj arms
. not to mention there are mx oem arms floating around pretty cheap if that's what you want possibly fit all years?

Not sure I think the frame is mainly the same with different plastic, nerfs, arms etc.. Powerplant from what I heard is suppose to be a big improvement. So unless you are a serious no money matters racer, its probably one of those price difference decisions & how good of a deal you can get. I would still get another ds450 if I found one close & for a good price. they just handle so dang good!
