I need some advice i got a cr250 and there is a knocking noise comin out of the engine towards the cylinder. It is kinda loud and i would like to kno what it is? any suggestions?

try a higher octane gas

I usually run premium in her but lately since divorce havnt rode much so never took the time to go buy premium just used the regular gas i had. I think it is just spark knock.

if its an ex its the gas more than likely. mine did the same thing now i use 110 octane

He said it was a cr250. What kind of knock is it? it could be a few things. Does it do it all the time? does it go away when you rev it up. Give us a litttle more details so we can help you better.

It is a CR 250 and it does it all the time. When you rev it, it gets louder.

I would pull the top end off and check the rod and make sure there is no play in it.

Right before mine blew up it did that. When i split the cases to find out, my crank let loose. Hope thats not whats wrng with yours, EXPENSIVE!! good luck

It could be a head gasket. Feel for air around your head as you rev it.
