my buddies 02 raptor is having difficult starting. The battery is has plenty of charge, battery connections are tight and clean, but when i hit the start button it will not even make a clicking sound. i have to constently hit it at least 25 times in a row until in fires. once it fires it runs awesome. i heard these raptors had issues with something called a starter kit. does anybody know what this is or how to fix this problem.

sounds like a burnt solenoid to me try to cross it with a screw driver!

May be worth throwing a post up on www.raptorsource.com seeing if one of the 660 guys have heard of that.
