I just purchased a 2002 Sportsman 400 for doing yard work and pulling a mower up and down a steep hill in my backyard. I spent all evening going through it to check the regular maintenance items.

I am very impressed by how this thing is built. I felt like I was working on a miniture tank. It took me 30 minutes to grease all the axles and a-arms. I had a Honda 450R and the Polaris is built much better than the honda. Yes, the Honda will definitly out run it.

I was not sure if buying a Polaris was the right thing to do, but now I am glad it did. I need to change the brake pads and clean up the rotors, but other than that it is ready to do some work.

Is there anything in particuliar I should check before I start putting it to work????
