i have a 06 drx 50 i bought used. i have no expierence or knowledge with racing or set up. i was told i have a 90 tranmission and am curios on gearing and clutch set. i was at a 35 20 with the gearing and went to a 35 19. we are doing great out of the gate but had an apex flying by us on the long straight. Also the clutch has 3.2 rollers with 2000 (?) springs. what i have learned is from reading this forumn and the wonderful people at the tracks that are more than willing to help. this is are first year of racing and what a great group of people there are in the quad racing family.

When you say White do you mean the Koso brand. If it is a Koso style it could be a 1500 or a 2000.

i would try 19 30 or 19 32 geraing that 19 35 is probably part of the reason why u have no top end . and if u have a 2000 spring in i would say go a bit heavier on the rollers. this is just imo.

the apexes that passed you are production bikes yours is limited stock the 2000 springs are clutch engagement springs and i was refering to a yellow malossi torque spring you have the white one in it now. dont forget to let these guys know that in michigan 70 and 50 quads run on the little track so gearing is very important.
tall gearing doesnt work as well when running the little track to many turns and not enough straights IMO lower gearing will have your kid going faster turn to turn. you should try to come to portland this weekend its the first state quad race should be a great turnout oh yea we just built a new kids track there sunday and its SWEET!! Hope to see ya there
