I have a 1995 polaris 300 4x4 that has been sitting for a long time but its still in like mint condition, i went to start it and that was a job and a half but once i finally got it started white smoke poured from the exhaust. a friend told me that this was because of water in the carb. is this true? what can i do to stop this? my quad stalls everytime i get it running and i think its cuz of this problem. please help

You needed to throw away the gas in the tank. You may get lucky with the carb and just run new gas with a bottle of GumOut.

It is a 2-stoke, Right? You need to have 2 stoke oil mixing with the gas. It should be oil injected, but I'd just mix the gas and oil together before filling the tank.

If you run it without any 2stroke oil, you will kill the engine pretty quick.
