how do you remove the ball joints from the a arms?

Stock? They don't come off. Aftermarket? Usually a nut on one side...remove it and the ball joint unscrews/pulls out....

it is a stock a arm but how do i take the ball joint side of the a arm off so i can paint them or put aftermarket ones on.

Posted by: 02 Red Rider

No offense here but YOU CAN NOT TAKE THE BALLJOINTS OUT OF STOCK A-ARMS. Thay can not be replaced at all. Save your money powdercoating them and just buy some aftermarket a-arms that you can replace the balljoints on.

I'm not trying to be a d**k, i just don't know how else to explain this to you.

Yes

what would u say is the easyest way to get the end of the a arm off.

Posted by: 02 Red Rider

Are you talking about the spindle?

Posted by: 2001 trx400ex

yes

Back the ball joint nuts off, then insert a deep socket in between the to nuts (I actually had to use 2 regular sockets that were just barely smaller than the balljoint nuts.). Then continue to backe the balljoint nuts off, the pressure created by the sockets will pop them right out.
