Help, Im about to buy an ltr450

my son has found an ltr450, its an '06 with yoshi pipe, cb, modquad intake and some cosmetic stuff

is there anything I need to look for ?

pictures look average for a 3 year old atv
he is asking $4,000

Try to ride through the gears on it. Sometimes the shift pins break. Check the rear linkage, make sure nothing is wrong with it. 06 had some sort of linkage problem.

Besides that, make sure there are no cracks in the frame and that the underside isn't beaten too hard. Check the sides of the frame where the boots would be and see how worn it is. Make sure there is no oil in the air box either.

Don't do it, the same pice can get a you a better 450r..

I have a trx450r and love it,

I would really like to find an 06+ 450r for $4k within 4 or 5 hours of kansas city but im not having much luck

There is one in Excelsior Springs with lots of upgrades for 45 or best offer on Craigslist, also a 05 for 2600.00
