Well guys im pretty well dead set on sellin my honda and buying something more versitle. I want something i can ride saturday on the track and go home saturday night and burn the trails up with all my buddies and i aint been able to do that for a couple years now. Im lookin Into buy a 525XC but just wondering how cheap i can find one. I will not give 11k for a quad nor have 11k in a quad anymore. If i cant find one close to my price i will just buy a YFZR. But what are you guys payin. I am in southern ohio and would be willing to drive for a good deal to make the switch to orange

i paid 9 grand for mine at b and b cycle in p.a around lancaster..it was a 08 leftover..they even gave me 1500 dollars in ktm hard parts for free!! and they have one 525xc left over!!

Wat is the actual MSRP for the 525xc?.. I cant find it anywhere online. I thought i remembered hearing it was around $12,000. but i may be wrong.

i just paid $9300 for 09 525 xc and i got the $1540 racer kit for free.

Theres different payment plans to fit your sitution. You can either be paying any from 50 a month to 250 a month. the more you pay each month the fater it'll be pai off and the less interest you'll end up paying.

If you don't mind buying used I bought an 08 KTM XC 525 with 75 hours on it for $6500.00.There out thier.

I think back when I was first looking last year, the msrp was like 10,600. I got mine for 9500 out the door last september. Way better deals now. Lot of F*****g money for a quad . But I will tell you right now that I haven't regretted it for a second. By far the baddest thing out there.

Just picked up a brand new leftover 08 KTM 450xc for $6800 OTD at RRM in Medina, OH. Also got the $1500 Factory Racing Kit with it.

RRM still has two 450's for that price if you are interested. Very very affordable if you ask me. So far I am very happy with my purchase

are you guys seeing that kinda deal on 525s? Your killin me. I still owe 6400 and have been paying since sept. For that kinda savings you could buy the 540 kit and have that instant sleeper. Thats awesome. Congrats to both of you. ps. That 1500 dollar kit pisses me off. started offering that not long after I bought mine. F*****s.

Missing out on the Factory Racing Kit shouldn't be a problem at all. Give KTM a call and explain your situation. You would be surprised at how far KTM will go to satisfy one of the customers, especially for the ones that are purchasing their new first year products, like the 450 and the 525.

I have a buddy who purchased a 525 new last year, missed the Factory Racing Kit offer, called up KTM, and what do you know, 5 days later the kit arrived at his local KTM dealer.

Give it a try, you never know!

a little over $8500 for the 08 525xc and came with the factory kit, let me tell you that was a beauty sight all piled up in the bed of the truck going down the freeway

The kit includes: a full extra set of plastics, ohlins steering dampner, fmf slip on, atv stand, ktm fuel can and a few things that I'm sure I'm forgetting, oh the Ktm front bumper and full nerfs. Smokin deal dude. I bought mine in sept and am pretty bummed about missing it. Especially since I have already bought most of that.

thats pretty awesome...kinda weird it comes with an fmf though cuz i thought they had a thing with akrapovic....but still seems like a sweet deal especially with the steering dampener and all...

They have both. Akra is 800 bucks though. Just the slip on. Headpipe is another 800. Im thinking that is why its not in the kit.

My 450 was 6800 before tax. Came out to 7500 with registration ect.. Did get the ready to race kit and a head build by Baldwin motorsports. Port, polish, titanium valves, and a 8/06 cam.

I just bought 2008 450 with KTM factory package and Baldwin Head package for $6100 including lic out the door. Makes up for what I paid the the 525 a year ago. I wont help my resale if I ever sell to upgrade to a new one. I hope to use the head work on the 525.

Took out my KTM525 and my GF new KTM 450 today to the sand. What a deal. She loves her new quad. Has anyone heard about what KTM is going to do in 2010 with the ATV? I was told there would not be a 2010 ATV. I was hoping for a fuel injected one.

what part of oregon did you pick your quad up at megacab? i've been lookin around up here in washington and they are still wantin a arm and a leg for a 525. id definetly make the trip down there to save a couple g's on one if its worth it.

I bought the 450 at motorsport hillsboro. 5995 plus lic. They were sold out on Sat but were getting some more. I found a 525 at power yamaha for 7900. The real deal is on the 450. Good luck finding one. If I did not have the 400ex I would get one more

hell thats not bad at all! ill have to give them a call tommrow and start poundin some numbers. is there that big of a difference in the 450 from the 525 that they are sellin more 450s?

Mostly the difference is the bottom end. More torque. Kinda like having a big bore kit. There just really aren't alot of 525s left from 08 with that kinda pricing. Thats why you are seeing mostly 450s right now.

The rumor at the dealer was that in 2010 KTM was not doing a ATV. I think they cut back production of quads in 2009 but with the backlog of 2008 quads along with the soft economy they might figure they have enough 2009 units to last through 2010. It will be interesting. I think I would be ready for a fuel injected one once that is perfected and out. Maybe 2011?

i bet once KTM has their big bike injected they will fuel inject the quad aswell. Most KTM users are leaning toawrds 2011-12 for fuel injection on the KTM bikes. due to the economy.
