I raced my son on his 08 kfx450 and there was no contest.

Black top road.
400yrds run

Within 30yrds i was 2 bikes ahead
within 100yrd i was 4-5 bikes ahead.

8-10 bike lenghts ahead by end.

ran 3 times with same result.

no mods on kfx
hmf pipe and uni on 800 renagade.

My son was discusted..... One of his best freinds watched him
loose his butt after he was bragging how fast his was...

who would think that an 800 auto against a 400 manual is a contest? especially on a BT road...now why don't you have a contest in the woods on a tight trail section

We just got back from hatfield-mccoy. Its a little better race. The 800 would still pull away on the trails. I am just amazed at this thing. The 450 did have its pluses on any jumps we came arcoss and any hairpin turns.

On the track im know the 450 would eat the 800's lunch withthe jumps and whoops......

I own both.. the 800 is just amazing for the type of riding i do.

The renegade is amazing, I cannot even explain the power. Once you ride one, you have to have one. We were in Florence Oregon last week at the sand dunes. At comp hill a stock renegade was smoking the piped 450's badly. I love it.

People hate on the renegade because they cannot afford one.
