saw an Avanti 125 for sale locally that looks just like an Xtreme typhoon in every way and I can get it cheap, any thoughts? I dont really care about the motor because I would most likely put a GPX 140 in it for trail riding.

Never heard of it. Since you're gonna swap the motor out the next issue would be the frame and it's durability. I know Xtreme did some modifying to the frame to help it hold up better. Whomever Avanti is may have not.
