i know this is an old post but will the 426 head work with the 450 cylinder? and what year 450 cylinder do you use?

Posted by: kyledvor61

no. 426 cylinder has to have 426 head. and 450 cylinder has to have 450 head.

damn, my head is ported already, what about stroker cranks?

Posted by: kyledvor61

That, I have no idea. The crank in my motor has a 63.4 stroke, which is what the 06+ yfz's had, to make 449 cc instead of the older 439. But, it says Hot Rods on it, and the wrist pin is an 18mm instead of 20mm so it as to be a WR.

Anyway to answer your question, no clue lol.

actually you answered my question, but i wonder if my 444 cylinder will work with that crank

Posted by: kyledvor61

I wouldnt see why not?

Posted by: C41Xracer

i guess theres only one way to find out..................i wonder what the displacement would be then

Posted by: C41Xracer
