I was wondering if front 300ex shocks or 400ex front shocks would work on the 250ex? i need to get some for mine but after marked 250ex shocks are hard to find used. thanks!

i just picked up a set of works 300ex shocks on e-bay for 115 shipped. sold stockers for 60....not too bad !

I've got a 400 ex and a 250 ex. Just eyeballing it, but it looks like there's no way in hell a 400 shock would work on a 250. 400 shock is much longer and larger around.

300ex standared travel shocks whould work then?? i know 400ex,450r are to long.

to fit anything besides 250ex shocks you will need asr or herrman racing +2 a arms or a diamond j customs widening kit
with the widening kit you can fit 450R shocks

Buddy has 250x 2006 and put 300ex rear shock and its too stiff and is adjusted to lowest setting still to hard he,s about 150pd.he hates the 300ex shock, go with aftermarket or stay stock unless you are very heavy person.

86250R put a banshee front shock on the rear and said it works wonders

i just got mine back and measured it and yes, its about 12-12.5 inches long

its always kinda confused me becuase i saw a guy on here that had 300ex suspension under a recon but then in the FAQ that ryan made it says recons only, but the EX and the recon have the same frame

idk, if there around 12.5 inches long then yes they would as long as the eyelets arent too wide
