Will do. We always camp as far south as you can get...usually in the spot right next to the covered shelter. Some other friends were camping a few spots north of you and I rode by your camp at least a dozen times that weekend.

So you will be there the weekend of 13th through the 15th? I am planning on coming in that weekend. Would love to meet up with a somewhat local to hang out with.

I will be driving a white 250 pulling a white v nose inclosed trailer with GNCC stickers on the side.....look us up.

On that weekend (weather permitting) we will be there from the 12th-15th. We are up on the hill behind LSPS. Just look for the DuneTuned on the trailer and truck.

My friends and I are heading out there that weekend if everything stays together haha. I'll have the buggy out there if it's running and a couple of my friends will be on a predator and the other one will be on a 07 kx 250 and I have no idea who else will go. We'll prob have a mid 80s camper and towing it with an late 90s black ford and towing everything else with an mid 90s blue ford. Stop in and drink a couple of beers with us at night if yall want!

We are easy to find. Not gonna be to many trucks there with Ky tags and GNCC stickers on the trailer. We also have smrmidwest meeting us from Witchita, they will be driving an FJ cruiser with kansas tags.

Also..I have a license plate on the the front of the truck that says SMR.

We are thinking of reserving a spot from LSPS. They have some spots with electric and water for $20 bucks a night. Are they big enough for our truck and trailer? Would you recomend this one over one of the ones in town? In the past we have always stayed in the state park but we are affraid we want be able to find a spot on Friday morning.

On the size of the spots at LSPS.. go to www.lspsonline.com and look up the reservation part. When you put your pointer over each camp spot available it will give you the dementions of it. Most will accomidate 2 trucks and trailers (unless they are large trailers).. However there are some that will only fit one truck/trailer.

As for reserving for March... that will hinge on the weather probably. In the past it has been very busy each weekend due to all the different spring dates for schools. There will be a week (or 2) with alot of Missouri tags around, another with Oklahoma, then some with Nebraska, Kansas and Texas.. Reserving a spot is a safe bet.

Where to reserve? Your options are Sand City (which is LSPS and is located on the north end of the south camp grounds) This is personally our favorite place to stay but.... The other option is a camp site in town but you have to ride the quads on the trail to get to the dunes plus you have to enter from the north side of the dunes (where the taller hills are but all the drags are on the south side) You can also get a hotel in town but then you have to trailer your toys to the dunes.

i have been keeping an eye on it down there and the past four weeks its beeen in the 70 and 80 range never getting below the 60's so i think it should b pretty nice for us! however night will proly get chili sand doesnt keep the heat

either way 50's arent to bad when ur rippin around!!

cjkranz...make sure you look us up if I don't find you....like I said, there can't by that many F250's there with Ky tags.

I will be riding a blue YFZ450, my son will be on his 300ex and my brother hopes to have his R ready.

We are also easy to spot in the dunes with our knobby tires and look for the bar codes on the side or our helmets.

AHahahahahahaha

You have no idea how true that is. When I was there last year there were two port-a-potties for the whole campground with no TP. People had started using clothing to wipe themselves...it was horrible.

Not to mention the constant droning of the owners trying to get people to the drags at $1 a run. They were using some old Dodge 4x4 to tent to the track....

For $50/night I expected more.

I just got a shocker at work. I was scheduled to be laid off next week (that's why we planned this trip) Now that may be changing. I might not be coming this weekend.

I guess I'm happy and sad...

....It was just a tempery layoff so I wasn't worried.

There will be 8-10 of us going down Thursday the 19th. Three honda trx 250rs, a couple of bikes, and I'm not sure what everyone else has. The weather is looking beautiful and I have NEVER been to the dunes before. Should be an amazing time!

We will be in an RV and are suppose to be 'right on the main drag' so stop by and visit!

well i think were takign the 10 hour trek down there this weekend. kind of sucks though. they are calling for temps in the 30's. high winds. rain and snow all weekend. were going to try to make the best of it.

Great pics man. Glad to see we arn't the only xc bikes that go out there. our trip absolutely sucked. About a ten hour drive there was pretty much a wasted trip. First day we were there it sleeted all day long. We toughed it out and rode in it but by about 4pm it started snowing. they were calling for 12 inches that night, so we said screw it and headed back home.
