when i punch the throttle gear one is fine then when i switch two second it hits the rev limiter immidiatly after and then i switch to 3rd and hits the rev limiter fast agian, then 4th and 5th are fine, i have a hmf exhaust, velocity filter, and pink wire cut, efi controller is on its way , does anybody have the same problem and will the efi controller help?

yeah sounds like your wrapping out the gears tell they hit rev limiter then your hittin the longer gears

2nd and 3rd gears are a very close ratio you need to shift sooner. Or try getting a 41 tooth rear sprocket it will give you more top end speed and you will be able to streach out your gears more. Yoy can get a rear sprocket on ebay for about $25.00

top end is very good but then again the ds 450 lacks bottom end too

yeah a stock ds lacks bottem end, my ds with 3 mod (pink wire not pc) me and my buddy both did a 5 gear roll to where both bikes where about to bog out and die then we both punched it to WOT and my ds picked up and ran away from my buddys 3 mill stroker yfz, and hes got 3500 into hes bike and its geared down for accel/MX, as for my bike being stock 08 sprockets lol

so theres nothing to buy other than a 41 tooth, does it have to do with running too lean/rich
