With all the Baja wins you would think that Honda would be part of this race. I meen 6000 miles in 15 days is the most brutal race out there. Yet out of the 28 quads entered, not one Honda.

There are 11 Yamaha's in which all are 700 Raptors but one that is on a 660. 8 Can Am's on 4 DS650's, 1 DS450, 2 Renegades, and one Outty 650. 6 Polaris Outlaw IRS, 2 LTR 450's, and one KTM 525.

The race starts Jan 3 and goes until the 18th. Just suprised no Honda's and especially the 700xx for what it did at the Baja. I wonder if it's because Honda supports Baja, yet not the Dakar??

I know that it's a big race for Polaris as they usually have a lot that enter (and win)

I too was surprised not to see any 700XX's; then I thought about it and it makes sence as you need a year to prepair for the dakar and at that time the XX was just too new.

The Raptor is an obvious choice as it is the only quad that you can purchase the "rallye" parts for off the shelf, all the others are custom jobs.
