how does por-15 hold up in comparison to PC?? how is the shine also??

Posted by: Pappy

i honestly cant say. i spoke to thier rep on the phone and he garunteed it to be more durable then pc.....but did confir that the color options and overall finish will not match what can be achieved with pc. but on a frame....he assured me that no one would be dissapointed. we will see very soon as i have several pending jobs requesting this product.

the por15 comes in 2 colors gloss black and silver. they have a another black with a dull finish but who wants dull

the chrome coat they offer is available in 9 colors i believe and should work good on stock a arms ....maybe stems etc. i will be playing around with and see what its capable of

i was on the site, what do i order, i want to do my brother's blaster frame, its kinda rusty, i painted my 400ex frame myself with car paint and a spray gun, it came out great, but i wanna use sumtin stronger on my brothers bike, what should i order, and what steps do i have to go through, i can spray this stupp right lol

thanx

actually they told me brushing is the best way for a frame to ensure that thick look.

the frame needs to sanded( not stripped) and any areas of loose paint sanded away etc. then washed with a degreaser .....

then the rust preventative and then the color.

thats a real short example...it gets a lot more involved then that

i would order the starter kit....it should be enough to do the frame.

i painted my frame with lexus silver like 2 months ago, it has a few scratches nuttin major except the grab bar from wheeling, how would the por-15 hold up on the grab bar hittin the ground, better than paint?? and how will it look brushed on???

nice work kenny,

i am anxious to see how mine turns out...

Posted by: DantheEXman

i want mine done too!!! Rider 11... How did you get that thing of? Was it hard?

Posted by: wyndzer

I can vouch for por 15, me and my brother just did his whole under body and frame of his CJ-8 with the gloss black. I have also used some of their gas tank re-liner kits on some of my pump motors at work. That stuff works great.

Bottom of the body. See how shiney.

Posted by: bklyn400ex

did u get my pm?

Posted by: wyndzer

The frame, look in front of the motor. Not really a good pic, but you get the idea.

Posted by: bklyn400ex

i started polishing my sidecases before it got cold out, i only got a chance to do the middle (i attached a pic so u know what im talkin about), i really want to finish the whole thing, is it best if i remove the case, and what is involved in taking off the case, do i have 2 drain the oil first, and do i have to put new gaskets on??

thanx
