My 600 dollar 250X is going thru a total rebuild ( by me a 15 year old kid) I have about 500 to spend and I was wondering if this sounded good for looks and performance wise - here it is
- New Nerf Nets in Red
- Front and Back ( front race cut ) silver maier plastics
- Nacs Racing Graphics ( for 250R but I will trim um down to fit)
- Ceet seat cover black with red on end
- Douglas alumminum .090 rims with bandits front and back
- new stock swingarm that I will bead blast and polish ( clear coat)
- Lonestar racing carrier
- polished stock a ARMS
- home made wheel-stud spacers
- Pro tapers with custom clamp ( my dads a tool maker so he hooks me up)
- New caliper mount with clip
- paint header black
- wire wheel stock exhaust and clear coat

Sounds good, but with a rebuild makeing plans is not a good idea. There's a thousand things that you could find and need to replace...
anyway, why a new swingarm? cracked?
bandits are some stiff tires!
If your on a budget, Just get std size bars, Im not on a budget and I run std. Tag cr high bends

that is the only thing that could make u faster on a track.... if i were you i wouldnt worry about the looks yet.... i would get shocks with that money or mild motor work instead of makin it look nice. that can come later on down the road

Performance wise,your not going to gain much with that plan.

I'd say get a cam, piston kit for your quad. Then some used shocks.
Then re-gear your quad to 14/36.....

I gaurantee you'll like it better when you wax those nicer looking X's and EX's with no performance stuff.

Go ahead with the stuff that doesn't cost you a whole lot.

yea I know what u mean, and yes my swingarm was cracked and mangaled and I am on a decent budget so I am gonna
modify the stock exhuast and polish it for exhaust performance , and just make it handle mean, I am not lookin for a ballzy bike , if I did I would have bought a 400ex ( or ride my XR400 BBR Custom) this is pretty much a beater being brought back to life , if anything for performance when Is ell all my stuff on ebay I am gonan get a 310 kit with hinson clutch and a cam, with a kehin carb. haha taht will be the day. I am going for practical **** rigth noe soo . its cool the idea u gave me and I have to say that the trx250x above is realy nice.

nice quyads but dood s for 600 and A mint running 250X i still think I got the best deal even though that lt250 for 1500 isn't bad , I stil think for teh compete deal I got the best.
